Surfing in Samoa

Surfing Samoa
You’ll find Samoa in the Pacific Ocean, just North East of Fiji. It’s the perfect destination if you enjoy remote tropical islands, crystal clear water and consistent year-round waves. The Independent State of Samoa, previously known as Western Samoa, is made up of two islands, Upolu and Savai’i. You can choose either island for your surf trip, as both have great waves. Although, do note that staying at either island in Samoa can be expensive due to its remote location and more ‘luxury’ resorts – take some time to plan your trip correctly and prepare your budget before you go. Samoa’s location in the South Pacific ensures that there are waves all year round, but generally speaking, the biggest swell can be found between April and October.
